A visa is an official document or a stamp put in your passport, which allows you to enter or leave a particular country. Tourist Visa is a non-immigrant visa.
The following documents are needed to apply for foreign country Tourist Visa
- Proof of your ties to your home country.
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses for your visit to foreign country
- Identification Proof such Valid Passport/Aadhar card etc
- A letter of invitation from the person inviting you to visit foreign country
- Proof that you will be staying in foreign country only on a temporary basis (such as return Air Tickets etc)
- Cover Letter
Note: the above-mentioned documents are generally required for any Tourist Visa, however the complete list can vary from country to country.
It costs CAD 100 to apply for a visitor visa and CAD 85 for your biometrics fee.
Tourist Visa to other countries will have different costs
A cover letter for a foreign country visitor visa application must contain the following information:
- purpose of Travel to a foreign country
- explanation of how will the expenses of the trip be managed along-with source of funds
- describe if you have any sponsor in a foreign country and your relationship with the sponsor along-with reason for sponsorship
- overview of flight itinerary including flight schedule and schedule of the key activities planned in the foreign country
- your reason for choosing to visit the foreign country
- If you are not submitting some of the documents above, then share an explanation and also explain if you are providing any alternative document.
Apart from submitting visa application including cover letter and payment of fees, the IRCC may also ask you to:
- attend an interview with foreign country officials in your country
- send additional information
- undergo medical examination
- provide a police clearance certificate
After your Tourist Visa application is processed, the foreign country visa processing office will return the original passport along with any other original documents to you. The original bank statements or any documents found to be fake will also be returned.
Once the application is approved, the visa will be stamped inside your passport
If the application is rejected, then you will receive an explanation.
